Game-to-Eat cooks up a meal fit for the QueenGame-to-Eat was delighted to sponsor a course at the Training for Life fundraising dinner that took place on Thursday 16th November. Top chefs Nick Nairn, Richard Corrigan, Marcus Wareing and Bryn Williams recreated the winning meal that was prepared for the Queen, as featured in the BBC2's Great British Menu. Prince Michael of Kent also attended. The menu included:
The Venison for the main course was supplied by Ben Weatherall of Yorkshire Game who said: “We followed the TV programme - Great British Menu avidly, so were delighted that Nick Nairn with his Roe Venison dish was chosen as the main course and even more delighted to be asked to supply the Venison for this event. He continues: “Game-to-Eat is an excellent campaign set up to create more awareness of Game meat and is working very well particularly when people are able to see chefs on TV using game meat. In addition, the charity, Training for Life is a great charity to support particularly with the success of the restaurant Hoxton Apprentice, which trains apprentices whilst serving first class food. Alexia Robinson, Game-to-Eat adds “We were delighted to be associated with this event, particularly recreating the fantastic menu developed for the Queen by some of the UKs top chefs. It is a worthwhile charity to be involved with and we hope Game-to-Eat will be able to become more involved with the Hoxton Apprentice and creating seasonal menus”. -ENDS - For further information please contact Jane Saward or Hilary Leathes on 01273 834716, email: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it |
